Job summary

Children’s Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs is seeking an Operating Room Nurse (Certified) to provide patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting. The role includes mentoring new graduates and ensuring documentation and standards across multiple specialties.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support a variety of procedures, and contribute to ongoing education and credentialing to sustain safe, high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• BSN required; RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years perioperative nursing experience.
• Current BLS/CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications with at least 6 months remaining.
• CNOR certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate intraoperative patient care.
• Serve as liaison to patients, families and the operating room team.
• Prepare operating room for procedures.
• Deliver family-centered, evidence-based perioperative care.
• Communicate patient values and education across the care team.
• Navigate EMR to document patient care.
• Participate in staff development and education for the unit.
