Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the operating room and manage the operative environment during surgery
• Coordinate with surgical team to prepare the room, equipment, supplies and implants
• Perform accurate medication checks and collaborate with anesthesia to ensure patient safety
• Participate in universal protocol, timeouts, and post-procedure pause procedures
• Mentor orientees and ensure documentation standards are met
• Contribute to unit governance and quality improvement activities
• Navigate the EMR and maintain effective communication with patients and families
