Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare in Fernley, NV is seeking a PCA 1099 Independent Contractor to provide non-medical personal care in clients' homes. You’ll set your own schedule and deliver compassionate routine care under a care plan.

The role includes assisting with ADLs, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and friendly companionship, while upholding HIPAA standards and client dignity. Prior caregiving experience and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
State-approved PCA training may be required in some states.
Some states require aide registry/credential listing.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Experience in personal care or home health is preferred.
Reliable transportation to patient homes and regional office.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility.
Provide basic support with ambulation, transfers, and safe positioning.
Assist with meal preparation and basic nutrition reminders.
Perform light housekeeping to promote a clean home environment.
Offer companionship and supportive interaction.
Document time worked and services rendered per agency requirements.
Report changes in patient condition to agency personnel.
Maintain confidentiality and patient dignity per HIPAA and agency standards.
