Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking a dedicated PCA to provide non-skilled, non-medical personal care in clients' homes as a 1099 independent contractor. You will design a flexible schedule while delivering compassionate routine care and support to energy workers' families.

The role includes assisting with daily living activities, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship, with documentation of services and adherence to HIPAA and agency standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred in some states.
• PCA training program may be required in some states.
• Reliability and transportation to patient homes and regional office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide basic support with ambulation, transfers, and safe positioning.
• Assist with meal preparation and basic nutrition reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping to promote a clean home environment.
• Offer companionship and engage in supportive interaction.
• Document time worked and services rendered per agency requirements.
• Report observed changes in patient condition to agency personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient dignity per HIPAA and agency standards.
