Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare (UEW Health) seeks a PCA contractor to deliver non-skilled, non-medical personal care in clients' homes. Work flexible hours as a 1099 independent contractor, designing a schedule that suits both you and your clients.

The PCA provides ADL support, basic nutrition reminders, light housekeeping, companionship, and ensures safety. HIPAA-compliant care and client confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• In some states, PCA training may be required.
• Some states require listing on aide registry or credential database.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide basic support with ambulation, transfers, and safe positioning.
• Assist with meal preparation and basic nutrition reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home.
• Offer companionship and supportive interaction.
• Document time worked and services rendered per agency requirements.
• Report changes in patient condition to agency personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient dignity according to HIPAA and agency standards.
