Job summary

Rutherford County Schools Sunshine Elementary School in Bostic, North Carolina seeks a Temporary Part-Time Tutor to provide supplemental academic support to students. Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 48 hours of college credits required; higher preferred.
• Prior experience with school-age children in an educational setting preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check as required by the school system.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or one-on-one tutoring in reading or math.
• Assist with targeted instructional activities aligned with classroom objectives.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to supervising staff.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and participation.
• Follow the school's schedule and supervision expectations.
• Communicate professionally with students, staff and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
