Job summary

Leicestershire County Council seeks an experienced educator to deliver catering and customer service topics to adult learners. You will adapt your teaching style to meet diverse needs, develop individual learning plans, and ensure progress under the RARPA framework.

You will work in a vibrant learning environment with a Learning Support Assistant for each group, and there is flexibility around part-time or hybrid working; enhanced DBS will be required.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or above nationally recognised teaching qualification, with evidence that you will gain Level 5 within the first two years.
• Hold Level 2 or above qualifications in English and maths.
• Demonstrate competence in the use of digital skills, including emails, web-based applications, word processing and digital teaching resources.
• Have experience in delivering adult learning and working with learners who have moderate/severe learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver catering/cooking and customer service topics and adapt teaching to meet diverse learner needs.
• Support learners with individual learning plans and maintain progress under AIM Qualifications framework.
• Work with diverse groups in a vibrant and engaging learning environment; each group benefits from a Learning Support Assistant.
