Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Freeport, IL. The role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up extra shifts to earn more, and a base pay rate of $22.38 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; maintain awareness of visitor activity and restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs for patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and other security-related activities.
