Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Westfield, MA. This flexible role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts for higher earnings.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The position offers a part-time schedule with shifts Wed, Fri and Thu evenings, and a program to claim additional shifts across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening to be conducted.
• License requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
