Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Systems Patrol in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with the option to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings, and a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

You will work fixed shifts at a designated site, with opportunities to earn more through the claim-a-shift program and on-site police-style response when needed. This position supports part-time schedules and potential advancement toward full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures for the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
