Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. This flexible, part-time patrol role offers anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and options to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

The position provides opportunities to earn more and work across multiple sites. Pay rate is $14.50 per hour, with responsibilities including customer service, routine patrols, access control, incident response, and thorough shift reporting.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the site to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and directing visitors/contractors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, clear communication.
• Complete accurate activity and incident reports and handoffs.
