Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening in Marion, OH. This flexible role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.51 per hour with a fixed anchor shift and the option to grow into more hours up to 40 per week as needed. Ideal for building experience toward a full‑time career in security.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, manage visitor and contractor check‑in processes, and maintain access logs and records.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, shipping zones, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision through clear written reports.
