Job summary

Allied Universal in Richland, MS is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time with anchor shifts at a logistics site. This role offers reliable hours and the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings. Pay rate is $17.43 per hour with a fixed Thursday 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM schedule.

The role includes on-site access control, badge verification, and incident response, with a six-month anchor commitment and pathways to full-time work as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for delivery vehicles and personnel, coordinate with appropriate site contacts, and document arrivals, departures, and exceptions.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
