Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a corporate technology location. The position emphasizes access control, badge checks, and proactive patrols, with opportunities to earn more via the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge verification, guest direction, and reporting access-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
