Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a school social worker.
• Temporary or full approval as a social worker.
• Experience working with children and families in a school setting.
• Knowledge of social, emotional, and behavioral issues that impact student success.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and community agencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to students, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and group work.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with school personnel to promote a positive school climate and student success.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and community agencies to address student needs and concerns.
• Provide education to families on parenting skills, communication, and community resources.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress.
• Participate in school-based teams and committees to address student needs and promote school-wide initiatives.
• Stay current on best practices and trends in school social work.
• Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Maintaining effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
