Job summary

Kent School District is seeking part-time on-call substitutes to support the central production kitchen and school kitchen locations in preparing and serving meals to students and staff. The roles require a high school diploma or GED, excellent cash-handling and customer service skills, and the ability to work well with students and staff.

A Food Handler's Permit is required. The positions are temporary/hourly with variable hours and pay rate of $20.38 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to maintain accurate records and handle cash receipts.
• Must be able to work with a variety of students and other employees.
• Must be able to work in a team setting and foster good working relationships.
• Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be flexible and have dependable transportation; willing to work wherever needed.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
