Job summary

ScanScape is seeking part-time Retail Scan Associates in New Carlisle, OH to visit selected local retailers weekly and scan product barcodes. The role emphasizes in-store data collection, data accuracy, and timely reporting while offering flexible hours and steady week-to-week work.

Associates will use a mobile scanning app to capture barcode data across grocery, drug, and other store formats, supporting client sales analytics with consistent week-to-week scheduling.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure standing for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi and be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers every week to scan barcodes on displays and in-aisle locations.
• Perform in-store data collections across grocery, drug, and other store types year-round.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes and record quantities for about 45% of products scanned.
• Meet weekly deadlines and maintain data quality for clients.
• Participate in occasional Custom Projects that extend time per store.
• Work independently, with flexible scheduling and routine travel to multiple stores.
