Job summary

ScanScape is seeking part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores to scan barcodes on displays and in aisles. The role offers flexible hours with a baseline of 2–4 hours per week across all stores, plus additional hours for special projects, especially January–June.

Associates work with major retailers and use a mobile app to scan products, providing quantities for selected items and completing weekly deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout stores.
• Provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products as required.
• Report to your store within the described deadline.
• Complete Display Scanning across the entire store weekly, which can take several hours.
• Assist with Custom Projects when requested by Clients, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours during busy weeks.
