Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a Math and Reading Intervention Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Highlands County, FL. This part-time position (6 hours per week) offers a flexible schedule, with priority for Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The school is located in Lake Placid, FL 33852.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Valid and current FL Teaching Certificate/Statement of Eligibility.
• Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience.
• Willingness and ability to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Reading/ELA and Math to small groups of students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting with a focus on intervention.
• Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills to eligible students using company-designed materials and strategies.
• Utilize curriculum to develop and maintain lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students at all times and escort safely between locations; light lifting may be required.
• Perform data entry to meet deadlines (attendance, testing, progress reports, communications, compliance).
• Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences.
• Maintain student forms and files as required by agencies.
• Communicate with supervisors, teachers, principals and parents.
• Differentiate instruction and track progress; grow professionally through training and feedback.
