Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a part-time/Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant to provide therapy services under a licensed physical therapist, contributing to a rehabilitative plan of care and coordinating with the care team.

You will educate patients and families, support performance improvement efforts, and participate in risk management while maintaining a healing, safe environment in line with our mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate of PTA program accredited by American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Required: Associate degree.
• State of Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Providing treatment within the license scope and as required by law/regulation.
• Implementing a written treatment plan and administering treatment per goals.
• Educating patients and families in equipment use and home programs.
• Plan for patient discharge by coordinating with patient, family, and community.
• Continuously assess patient status and treatment effects during the plan of care.
