Job summary

City of Humble is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Tech PT to perform setup and breakdown for events at the Humble Civic Center and City facilities. The role requires basic maintenance, a positive public-facing image, and flexibility to accommodate event schedules.

You will assist with emergency systems familiarity, inspect equipment, and help ensure customer requests are met. A high school diploma is expected, with pass background checks and drug screen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regular and timely attendance at work.
• Learn and maintain a familiarity of emergency and security systems and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring event set-ups are done on time and according to the customer’s request, layout and expectations.
• Review customer requests and check all associated areas/equipment to ensure proper working order and conditions.
• Perform the set up and breakdown for events held at Civic Center and all other City managed facilities as assigned.
• Learn and maintain a familiarity with the audio/visual/lighting equipment.
• Inform management and assist in resolving any guest or systems related concerns or problems.
• Maintain all equipment in proper working order.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on buildings and facilities as assigned.
• Perform routine general maintenance and minor repairs to grounds, buildings and facilities such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, changing filters/belts, pressure washing, etc.
• Advise Operations Manager of any required major repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the general safety, security and protection of facilities and equipment.
• Operate forklift or other machinery as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
