Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to assist patients with daily living and personal care in their homes according to an established care plan.

Responsibilities include baths, grooming, feeding, monitoring vital signs, safe transfers, range of motion, and reporting changes to the supervising nurse as directed by the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Must meet training requirements per state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• CPR certification current in accordance with state regulation.
• Completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and feeding as per plan.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Range of motion exercises and simple procedures as ordered.
• Patient laundry and maintaining household safety.
• Observe and document patient condition and report changes to the assigned nurse supervisor.
