Job summary

The Lakes Home Care Services is seeking care professionals to provide in-home patient assistance in Florida. The position is part-time with flexible work hours to fit your schedule, and compensation is competitive based on experience.

You will follow each patient’s plan of care, assist with activities of daily living, and monitor patient health under supervision. CPR certification and adherence to state requirements are required.

Qualifications

• Must meet all training requirements per state and federal laws where applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• CPR certification current and in accordance with state regulations.
• PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Maxim screening examinations completed.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients per plan of care with baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, and related activities.
• Take and record vitals as ordered (oral, rectal, axillary) including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Ensure safe transfer and ambulation; assist with exercise per plan of care; perform ROM and simple procedures as ordered.
• Handle patient laundry; maintain safety and proper equipment use; teach and reinforce home safety practices.
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse; communicate clearly with client, family, and office.
