Job summary

The Lakes Home Care Services is seeking a compassionate Part-time Home Health Aide in Florida to assist patients at home according to their care plans. Responsibilities include personal care, safety, and routine health monitoring under nurse supervision.

The role requires CPR certification, ability to follow written instructions, and completion of Maxim screening and competency programs. Flexible scheduling may be available to fit patient needs.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with plan of care: baths, hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered
• Safe transfer and ambulation; exercise according to plan of care
• Perform ROM and other simple procedures as extensional therapy service as ordered
• Patient laundry
• Observe safety and use equipment safely
• Observe and teach home safety practices
• Recognize emergencies and manage procedures
• Follow plan of care and complete all assigned tasks
• Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver and office
• Observe and document patient condition; report changes to nurse supervisor
