Job summary

The College of Southern Idaho is seeking a CNA Skills Rater to objectively evaluate candidates during the CNA skills examination in line with Idaho standards. You will administer tests, observe performance, and ensure fair scoring across cohorts.

Ideal candidates hold an Idaho RN license with at least two years of RN experience, including one year in long-term care, and can complete required training within 30 days of hire; flexible part-time hours are available at CSI testing sites.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Idaho.
• Minimum two years' RN clinical experience.
• At least one year in long-term care or elderly/chronically ill care.
• Completion of a “train-the-trainer” or instructional methods course within 30 days of hire; CSI will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Administer and observe CNA skills tests for CSI-approved candidates.
• Evaluate performance using Idaho CNA Curriculum-based scenarios.
• Maintain records and submit results to authorities.
• Ensure testing environment is professional, safe, and compliant.
• Provide feedback to program coordinators on outcomes and improvements.
• Uphold confidentiality and integrity of testing.
