Job summary

Foster First in Yakima seeks a part-time Case Manager to support youth in foster care and their families. You will coordinate services, advocate for youth, and collaborate with DCYF and partners. This role offers a flexible mix of office, home, and community work with some evenings and weekends.

The position provides benefits through growth opportunities and a chance to move into full-time status based on program needs and caseloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social services or a closely related field.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to build relationships with youth and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized case management and support to youth in foster care and their caregivers.
• Maintain regular contact with children, foster parents, and foster-adoptive families.
• Coordinate services with DCYF, placing agencies and community providers.
• Participate in court hearings, Family Team Decision Making meetings, and related meetings.
• Review case files and ensure timely, accurate, compliant documentation.
