Job summary

ImageCare Radiology is seeking a board-certified Cardiologist for a part-time, on-site role in New Jersey. You will supervise and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular studies at one day per week, with compensation per study and negotiable based on credentials.

The position requires a NJ medical license, ABIM/Board eligibility, and ACLS/BLS certification. This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling within a high-quality outpatient imaging setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship completed.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM) or equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Expertise in interpreting echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform, supervise, and interpret TTE, stress echocardiograms, and nuclear cardiology studies.
• Review orders and patient history to determine appropriateness of testing.
• Interpret imaging studies and prepare reports for referring providers using EMR and reporting systems.
• Provide physician supervision of exercise and pharmacologic stress testing with compliance to regulations.
• Evaluate patients before testing to identify contraindications and ensure proper preparation.
• Respond to emergencies during testing following ACLS protocols.
• Collaborate with sonographers, technologists, nurses, and staff for quality care.
• Ensure compliance with ASE, ASNC, ACC guidelines and practice standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and accreditation activities.
• Maintain complete and timely documentation of encounters and interpretations.
• Communicate significant findings to referring providers promptly.
• Maintain all licenses, certifications, registrations, and credentials.
• Perform other duties within licensure and privileges as assigned.
