Job summary

ImageCare Radiology in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Cardiologist (Independent Contractor – 1099) to provide on-site supervision and interpretation of non-invasive cardiovascular tests at our outpatient imaging centers.

The ideal candidate is board-certified, with expertise in TTE, stress echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, and can work 1 day per week on-site. Compensation is per-study and negotiable based on experience and scope.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship completed.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Expertise in interpreting echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

Responsibilities

Perform, supervise, and interpret TTE, stress echocardiograms, and nuclear cardiology studies.
Review orders and patient history to determine testing appropriateness.
Prepare reports using EMR and cardiovascular reporting systems.
Provide supervision of exercise and pharmacologic stress testing per standards.
Evaluate patients to identify contraindications and ensure proper preparation.
Communicate urgent findings to referring providers per policy.
Maintain licenses and credentials.
Collaborate with sonographers and staff to ensure quality studies and workflow.
