Job summary

ImageCare Radiology seeks a Part-Time/Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Hackettstown office. The schedule is Sundays and every other Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm, with orientation at Mount Olive office prior to starting.

The role supports physicians and technologists in delivering high-quality imaging care and patient management. Essential duties include triage, patient preparation, charting, and assistance with procedures.

Qualifications

• NCCPA certification (if applicable)
• NJ State License as PA or NP (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• PALS Certification (Preferred)
• DEA Registration & Controlled Substance Registration (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and prepare them for exam.
• Assist Technologist with patient care and education.
• Document in medical records and progress notes as needed.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and assist with injections.
• Return patient calls and coordinate follow-up.
• Order supplies and ensure exam rooms are ready.
• Address patient questions professionally and courteously.
• Assist with Breast Center Navigation for patient follow-up.

SCHEDULE

ImageCare is looking for a Part-Time/Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Hackettstown office. The schedule we are looking to fill is Every Sunday and every other Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm. (All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will assist the Physician, Anesthesiologist, or Technologist in providing quality, professional, and knowledgeable medical care to their patients. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty mentioned. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Triage patients and prepare them for exam. Organize and research patient records as needed for daily patient schedule. Treat and care for patients within scope of state medical guideline.
2. Assist Technologist with patient care, treatment and education.
3. Assist Technologist with any adverse reactions a patient might experience with contrast injections (Shortness of breath, Rash).
4. Document in patients' medical record as needed with regards to treatment and progress notes.
5. Perform diagnostic procedures as trained and administer injections. Pre and post procedure teaching. Assist the physician with surgical procedures.
6. Return patients’ phone calls when applicable.
7. Order supplies for exam rooms and ensure that exam rooms are ready for patients.
8. Address patients’ needs and questions as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
9. Assist with The Breast Center Navigation system with regards to patient follow up, calling referring Physicians as needed.
10. Adheres to the strict guidelines outlined by the AMA regarding safe handling of narcotic medications.
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

• NCCPA Certification (Required, if applicable)
• NJ State License: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• PALS Certification (Preferred)
• DEA Registration & Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (Preferred, but not required)
