Job summary

Green Light Driving School in Aurora, IL seeks friendly, dependable Behind-the-Wheel Driving Instructors to join our Batavia team. You’ll work one-on-one with new drivers, building skills and confidence for safe, responsible driving.

This part-time role offers evenings and weekends, with summers more flexible. Training and licensing assistance available; prior teaching experience helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual.
• Patient and calm with nervous learners.
• Able to communicate clearly with students and families.
• Comfortable driving in varied weather and traffic.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one behind-the-wheel instruction to new drivers.
• Help students build confidence and develop safe driving habits.
• Teach basic vehicle control, defensive driving, and real-world decision making.
• Pickup and drop off students within the local service area.
• Guide students through diverse roads, traffic situations, and conditions.
• Keep simple, accurate records of each student’s progress.
• Keep training vehicles clean, safe, and ready for the next student.
• Coordinate with the office team when questions or schedule changes arise.
• Help turn nervous beginners into safer, more confident drivers.
