Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) seeks a Behavioral Health Respite Treatment Advocate to support youth and families in Butler County, performing advocacy and respite care in home, community and office settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with youth, families and partners to advance treatment goals and access community resources.

This is a contingent, part-time position offering up to 19 hours weekly at $20.00 per hour with a flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement and phone

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a related program; GED/high school diploma acceptable.
• Experience in child welfare preferred.
• Willingness to travel daily with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable telephone communication required.
• Proficient use of standard office software and devices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of youth treatment/service plans.
• Interact with youth to build trusting relationships and achieve goals.
• Provide oversight and participate in 1-on-1 activities per treatment plan.
• Engage clients, document conversations and submit paperwork for billing.
• Identify outside resources and services for youth development and goal attainment.
• Must be willing to transport clients to locations and activities as needed.
