Job summary

BD in Humacao, Puerto Rico, seeks a Packer to perform packaging, vision system setups, inspections, and labeling in line with manufacturing procedures. You will ensure documentation is accurate and labels are correctly applied across stations.

Responsibilities include cleaning work areas, organizing packaging configurations, and operating the Vision System. Training and certifications are provided; opportunities to improve processes and support lean Kaizen initiatives are available.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity to operate tools and large equipment.
• Ability to work with computerized systems.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must have 20/20 vision or corrected vision.
• Ability to inspect, audit, organize, interpret, read, copy, memorize, and document information.
• Team-oriented.
• Basic knowledge of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of the work area, equipment, and materials to comply with different processes and procedures.
• Organize the work area according to packaging configurations, including corrugated cardboard areas.
• Package, inspect, print, and label products according to established processes at each station, manufacturing processes, and company policies.
• Document work performed following established procedures and Work Orders (WOs). Audit and approve labels in the Label Cage area according to established procedures.
• Package products according to established requirements and processes and reconcile labels in the packaging area.
• Set up and operate the Vision System according to product specifications and established procedures.
• Move, use, and handle packaging equipment such as pallets, boxes, trace rolls, and/or any other tools related to product packaging.
• Audit manufacturing and packaging documentation to ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
• Obtain required training and certification before performing any operation.
• Recommend improvements to manufacturing practices to promote efficiency, speed, and cost reduction, as well as identify and document Kaizens.
• Use the required attire, PPE, and safety equipment in accordance with the requirements of the operation and processes.
• Comply with cGMPs, quality standards, and established policies and/or procedures.
• Notify the supervisor and/or designated personnel of any discrepancies, materials that do not meet specifications, procedural deviations, and/or equipment malfunctions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or designated personnel.
