Job summary

Graphic Packaging International currently seeks a robot operator to visually inspect the packaging area and promptly address issues on the production line. You will operate robot cells, manage pallet labeling, and maintain area cleanliness while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires basic computer skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, with safety and quality procedures embedded in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to operate systems and read work instructions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect area and respond to issues such as stage pick errors, wrong case sizes, light curtain faults, and untapped cases.
• Operate HMI screen to reset, power down, or enable/disable robot and robot cells; jog robot with teach pendent when needed.
• Review pallet tags/logs and ensure work instructions align with processes.
• Confirm labels face out and corrugated is aligned when preparing pallets.
• Hand stack boxes when robot issues arise and document discrepancies for shift manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of the area during make ready and assist with robot troubleshooting.
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, TPM, Daily Management).
