Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Guayama, Puerto Rico, seeks a Manufacturing Technician to maintain and repair packaging line equipment for liquid anesthetics, ensuring compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations. The role includes troubleshooting PLCs, training operators, and supporting trials, with rotating shifts and adherence to GMP and GDP standards.

Candidates should be fluent in English and Spanish, capable of interpreting procedures, and willing to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Able to operate and troubleshoot electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs and related software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production line equipment to maintain operation.
• Assist operators with minor troubleshooting to improve line efficiency.
• Maintain and modify PLC programs on packaging equipment and report issues.
• Train setup operators and mechanics for minor troubleshooting and adjustments; support engineering trials and factory acceptance tests.
• Back up Lead Technician during absences; document repairs and perform preventive maintenance per SOP and GMP/GDP.
• Operate packaging lines across multiple stations; participate in emergency response trainings and comply with safety requirements.
