Job summary

Ramseur Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Ramseur, NC is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our long-term care team. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., MA, or M.S. or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation based on MD orders.
• Document findings on the standardized evaluation form timely and accurately.
• Provide a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration, and treatment modalities.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients utilizing modalities and modify treatment as indicated.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress notes accurately and timely.
• Document monthly updated treatment plan on recertification.
• Document any discharge on a discharge summary as indicated.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform screens as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for occupational therapy services rendered.
• Supervise junior staff members, students and technicians as needed.
