Job summary

Bright Horizons seeks a Substitute Teacher to join our nurturing classrooms in San Clemente, CA. As an on-call role, you will support hands-on activities, communicate milestones to families, and provide coverage across centers and age groups.

Applicants must pass background checks, hold a high school diploma or GED, and have twelve semester units in Child Development. AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred, transcripts required at interview.

Qualifications

• Candidate must pass required state and company background checks.
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Twelve semester units in Child Development, including Growth & Development, Child, Family & Community, Curriculum, and Principles and Practices (Required).
• AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Transcripts will be required at time of interview.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations.
