University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a flex full-time Professional Staff Nurse, OP to join their Greater Pittsburgh OB/GYN office at UPMC Mercy. We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated nurse for a busy OB/GYN practice!

We provide obstetric and gynecological care for women in all stages of their lives. The Professional Staff Nurse plays an important role on the care delivery team, handling phone triage, patient teaching, and supporting peers in OB/GYN care.

Qualifications

• Previous women’s health nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in quality improvement efforts; identifies opportunities and supports evidence-based practice to improve patient care.
• Establishes positive relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes.
• Delivers patient education to patients and families, both in-office and via phone/written communication.
• Formulates goals and a plan of care with patient collaboration; triages situations and coordinates care with physicians.
• Demonstrates accountability for professional development and participates in governance and change processes.
• Maintains productive relationships and adapts to changes while ensuring safety and patient focus.
