Job summary

Safe at Home is seeking a compassionate Child Care Specialist to join our Westland, MI team. The role offers up to 40 hours per week with a Morning Shift and a pay range of $16.00–$17.00 per hour.

As a nanny with Safe at Home, you will work with families to deliver high-quality, in-home childcare, supporting children’s growth while enjoying flexible scheduling and benefits after 12 months of service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of childcare experience.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Undeniable positive, can-do attitude.
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proof of Auto Registration and Insurance.
• Maintain availability for at least two full weekdays (Mon–Fri), 6:00 AM–9:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s growth.
• Create a warm, safe, and fun environment in your care.
• Build professional relationships with families to deliver high-quality childcare.
• Communicate openly with families and the SAH team to ensure consistency and support.
• Respond to the emotional, social, and physical needs of each child with safety in mind.
• Provide transportation for outings, activities, and errands, arriving safely and on time.
