Job summary

Indiana Veterans' Home is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for day shifts in the Nursing Department. The LPN performs nursing care under supervision, administers medications, and supports residents with safe, dignified care on long-term care, memory care, and rehab units.

The role reports to the unit manager and shift RN, may supervise nurse aides, participates in care planning, documents care and treatments, and helps maintain HIPAA and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold Indiana LPN licensure and maintain licensure.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to document nursing care clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per standards.
• Provides safe, efficient personal resident care.
• Documents nursing notes, care plans and shifts.
• Participates in resident care planning and unit staffing.
• Assists with supervision of nurse aides and orientation of new staff.
• Responds to resident needs and call lights promptly.
