Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking substitutes and student-support personnel for partner schools across Texas. You will be matched to assignments that fit your background, with a dedicated Scoot consultant providing 1:1 support and career planning.

Earn daily pay as a W-2 employee, with direct deposit and paid training opportunities. Flexible day-to-day roles can lead to longer placements, with reimbursement for background checks and benefits as part of the Scoot Education team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits required
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor
• State & federal background checks

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher
• Communicate clearly with school staff
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process
