Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Wheaton, IL is seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapist to float between inpatient and outpatient settings to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The 1.0 FTE Exempt position offers core hours Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with three weekend days per quarter and two holidays per year, pediatric experience preferred, and a strong commitment to ethics and teamwork with NMH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois is required.
• BLS from American Heart Association must be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Selects and administers appropriate physical therapy evaluations.
• Inpatient rehabilitation.
• Develops and implements collaborative treatment plans.
• Provides patient, family and caregiver education.
• Discharge planning in collaboration with the team.
• Maintains clear patient care documentation.
• Supervises appropriate paraprofessionals and support personnel.
