Job summary

The Darnell School, a program of Advocates, is seeking a Relief/As Needed Teacher Assistant to provide flexible classroom support from 9:00am–3:00pm, Monday through Friday. The starting rate is $21.50/hour with hours varying by staffing needs.

You will implement IEP goals, assist with behavior support, collect progress data, and accompany students into the community. A High School Diploma/GED is required; valid driver’s license and background checks are also needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to implement IEP goals and behavior support plans.
• Must pass background checks and have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEP goals for students.
• Implement behavior support plans and track progress.
• Collect data for IEP goals using electronic or paper records.
• accompany and teach students in the community.
• Transport students as needed.
• Attend weekly classroom staff meetings and monthly trainings.
• Maintain required certifications (First Aid, CPR, Safety Care).
