Job summary

Maryland Science Center in Baltimore seeks an enthusiastic School Programs Instructor to deliver hands-on STEM classroom programs to visiting school groups. You will present 45-minute lessons and adapt to diverse learners in a fast-paced environment.

This role prefers a Bachelor's degree in science or education (experience in informal STEM education may substitute). Part-time, 9:45 am–2:45 pm, 1–2 days per week (Tue–Fri); background check required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in science, education, or related field.
• Experience in informal education/STEM instruction may substitute for education.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Present 45-minute STEM classes to visiting school groups (PreK–12, primarily elementary).
• Prepare and maintain materials, supplies, and classroom spaces.
• Communicate professionally with teachers and chaperones.
