Job summary

Knox County Parks and Recreation seeks a Recreation Assistant to support events, activities, and tournaments. The role includes setting up and breaking down events, maintaining park facilities, coordinating with staff, and handling data entry and scheduling. Ability to work flexible days, evenings, and weekends is required.

This is a safety sensitive position subject to a drug screen. Responsibilities include assisting with field prep, equipment setup, trash removal, and ensuring facilities

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered for employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and preparing for Knox County Parks and Recreation events, tournaments and activities.
• Assist in managing and hosting activities and events at assigned parks and facilities and/or assist in managing office projects and tasks.
• Coordinate with other KCPR departments to successfully run activities, tournaments and events.
• Provide facility repair and maintenance support at ball parks, fields, fences, parking areas, and play areas.
