Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring a Retail Donation Attendant for the Sunset Hills/S Watson team. The role involves greeting donors, processing donations, sorting items, and maintaining store cleanliness while delivering excellent customer service.

The position is hourly full-time with a stated hourly rate of $15.50 and a monthly bonus potential of up to $250. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• No degree is required, High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation receipt.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash, according to guidelines.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership and work cross-functionally.
