Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic Retail Donation Attendant for the Festus Store - TruMan team. The role supports the mission of Changing Lives Through the Power of Work with a focus on customer service and donation handling.

Qualified applicants communicate effectively, stay organized, and perform basic math. The position is full-time, on-site, with an hourly rate of $15.50 and a monthly bonus potential up to $250, plus comprehensive benefits as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent communication with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Organized and able to interact with a diverse workforce.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service, greet donors, assist with donation drop-offs, and acknowledge donations with tax receipts.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, and trash.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate items.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly.
• Stock and maintain store area cleanliness and organization.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards (sweeping, dusting, mopping, surfaces).
• Build professional relationships with team members and leadership; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles clear of obstructions.
