Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for the VNA Certified division. You will provide timely, accurate treatments and screens, support clinical judgment, and coordinate with the Occupational Therapist and office staff in Gardner, MA.

Pay is $45 per hour/visit based on the pay point model. We offer flexible scheduling (full-time & part-time) with day, night, and weekend shifts, plus comprehensive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted state license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Current CPR certification (hands-on) or able to obtain one.
• Current TB test or able to obtain one.
• Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by the physician under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Follow policies and procedures and conform to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws.
• Carries out appropriate techniques according to identified goals and treatment programs.
• Administers care to ensure safety for the patient.
• Participate in coordination of services with health care teams, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, and appropriate others.
• Documents according to policy and procedure and requires minimal supervision or instruction.
• Update self on the patient’s clinical condition.
• Maintain effective communication between Occupational Therapist, staff, health care team members, and family.
