Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for our VNA Certified division in Medford, MA. The role focuses on delivering timely treatments and screenings, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, with clear communication to staff and families.

Pay is $45 per hour/visit based on a pay point model. The position offers flexible scheduling (full-time & part-time), and options to choose travel radius, plus comprehensive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted state license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification (with hands-on component) or able to obtain one.
• Current TB test or able to obtain one.
• Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by the physician under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Follow policies and procedures and conforms to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws.
• Carries out appropriate techniques according to identified goals and treatment programs.
• Administers care to ensure safety for the patient.
• Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with health care teams, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, and appropriate others.
• Shares knowledge with others and facilitates learning experiences which result in improved performance of targeted learner groups.
• Documents according to policy and procedure and requires minimal supervision or instruction.
• Documents effectively resulting in no technical or clinical denials subsequent to review of documentation by payers.
• Update self on the patient's clinical condition.
• Maintain effective communication between Occupational Therapist, staff, health care team members, and family.
• Records hours worked, billable time and other required data according to Company policy.
• Serves as a resource consultant for Occupational Therapist and clinical staff.
