Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Caregiver in the Greater East Bay Area to provide at-home support for seniors. The role emphasizes patient-centered care with a flexible, life-friendly schedule and opportunities for online training and CEUs.

You will work one-on-one with clients, assist with daily activities, monitor health, and maintain safe home environments while building trusted relationships with families and care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active HCA registration in CA.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
