Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities living in their homes. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to follow care plans with careful reporting.

Employees work five days a week with at least one weekend day, on-call 24 hours, and 40 hours per week. Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check; reliable transportation is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience providing in-home care to seniors or disabled individuals is preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and document tasks.
• Strong communication and compassionate demeanour.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor visits, grocery trips, and other errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
• Observe and report any changes in client's condition.
• On call for 24-hour shifts; 5 days per week with at least one weekend day.
